Antoine Fougeray

Born in 1988 in Chinon, Antoine Fougeray began classical guitar with Benoît Cormerais, then trained with prominent figures such as Sébastien Cabrier, Alberto Ponce, Jérémy Jouve, and Judicaël Perroy.

He is invited to perform in recital (Institut Français de Valence , Festival Automne Musical de Châtellerault, Centre des Archives Diplomatiques etc.) and carries out intense activity as a chamber musician, particularly with the violinist and conductor Yaïr Benaïm.

Passionate about creation and today's music, he collaborates, among others, with the Ensemble 2e2m, the Ensemble Orchestral Contemporain for the Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, or even with the Compagnie Opéra.3 and the Lunaisiens for cross-disciplinary projects carried out for the Berlioz Festival .

In 2017, he founded Editions Fougeray, a publishing house which publishes an original repertoire. His arrangements are played by musicians such as Judicaël Perroy and Raphaël Feuillâtre, and are recorded on the Deutsche Grammophon and Naxos labels.

Antoine Fougeray teaches at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rueil-Malmaison as well as at the Conservatoire Municipal du 13ème arrondissement de la Ville de Paris, and is regularly asked to tutor students in CA or DE training from the CNSMDP and the various Poles d' Higher Education.

Regularly invited to give masterclasses, he teaches at the Académie Internationale de Musique et de Danse de la Lozère (Mende), as well as at the “ Lille Guitar Academy ”.

Since 2021, he has taught specialized didactics for the guitar at the ESMD in Lille and has led seminars on Transcription and Arrangement for guitar at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva as well as at Pont Supérieur (Bretagne).
